It is reported yesterday that Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has taken action against foreigners that conducting unauthorized business in Kuala Lumpur. Two actions have been taken in Setiawangsa parliamentary constituency on Jun 23, 2020.
“The first action was at the Abang Din Barber Shop located at Jalan 27/56, Keramat Wangsa, Setiawangsa. The results from the DBKL monitoring show that the premises were run by non-citizen (Bangladesh),” said DBKL on its Facebook post.
“The premises were also found to be without a valid license from the DBKL. The premises have been subject to immediate closure (sealing) and seizure under section 101 (1) (v) of the Local Government Act 1976,” added DBKL.
Not just that, the second premise also received the same fate as the barbershop. A car wash located at the same address as the first one was also run by non-citizen from Bangladesh. The workers refused to cooperate and ran away.
The premises also have been subject to immediate closing (sealing) and seizure under section 101 (1) (v) of the Local Government Act 1976.
Members of the public are asked to report any foreigner’s premises to the DBKL Local Call Center by calling 1-800-88-3255 or go to the nearby DBKL Offices.
