One of the former Minnesota police officer that involved in George Floyd’s death, Thomas Lane has been released from jail on bail.
As stated by a jail records, Lane who held with a conditional bail of $750,000 has been released from the Hennepin County jail on Wednesday. It is then was confirmed by his lawyer, Earl Gray saying that Lane was released on Wednesday afternoon after posting bail.
However, Thomas Lane will be monitored during his release. A gun must not be carried by Lane and he must not taking part in any law enforcement activities.
His next hearing was scheduled on June 29 and his lawyer stating that the former police officer want all charges against him to be dismiss.
Lane, a former rookie police officer was involved in the death of George Floyd with 3 other police officer. He has been charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder and aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter. All 4 of them was then fired following Floyd’s murder.
