As stated by the Senior Minister (Security Cluster), permission to held a wedding ceremony is not only subject to Muslim but also to the non-Muslim.

However, the prescribed SOP is still the same for all religions religions in Malaysia that is not more than 250 guests

“The permission for wedding ceremonies also applies to other religious. This means that when we allow Muslim weddings and other religious activities at the mosque, home and many more, it is also allowed for non-Muslims to held weddings in houses of worship, home, or in the hall,” said Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri.

“So, it is open to all. However, the SOP was still the same either for Muslim or non-Muslim that is the number of guests must not more than 250 people,” he said.

Before this, the government announced that it would allow social events including weddings during the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) period beginning July 1.

These social events include feasts, weddings, wedding anniversaries, religious ceremonies such as tahlil and aqiqah, events such as reunions, birthdays and many more.

The capacity of the guests is not more than 250 people depending on the size of the place.
