Staying Active During The Pandemic – WHO

Physical activity also helps improve sleep habits which are important for good health. So instead of doing nothing at home, it is best to do light activities around the home.

The World Health Organization or WHO recommends that all adults do physical activity for 30 minutes a day and children should exercise for one hour a day. Avoid heavy workouts instead of trying simple stretching exercises.

Here’s how you can stay active while at home:

  • Register for exercise classes online
  • Dance
  • Play video games that require you to move around
  • Jump Rope
  • Do exercise and strengthen muscles and balance exercises
  • Go up and down the stairs and if you don’t have a ladder, replace it with a bench
  • Do some stretching exercises
  • Can find other exercise ideas online

Overcome the challenges of working from home in this simple way:

  • Check your sitting posture often
  • Don’t just sit around. Make sure you get up and do stretching exercises or walking so that you feel refreshed at work.
