6.8 Earthquake Occurred In Papua New Guinea This Morning

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in its recent tweet informed that an earthquake was reported to have occurred in the Eastern Region of New Guinea, at about 10.50 this morning.

The magnitude 6.8 earthquake was reported to be centered 117 km northwest of Popondetta at a depth of 92 km.

MetMalaysia also informed that there is no tsunami threat to Malaysia due to the quake.
