Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri said the government would arrest and prosecute individuals who failed to undergo the COVID-19 screening test for the second time starting today.
“The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) will take stern action and from today PDRM will arrest and prosecute in court 2897 individuals who have not yet appeared for the second screening test,” he said.
According to him, many of those numbers have appeared for the second screening since Saturday and yesterday.
“The balance that has not made a second test will be searched by the police today,” he said.
As he said individuals who carry out quarantine at home should always wear special bracelets and not leave the house. They are also required to undergo a second COVID-19 screening on the 13th day after the first test is performed.
