Not More Than 10 Animals Are Allowed To Be Slaughtered During Aidiladha – Ismail Sabri

The government has decided that the number of cows or slaughtered animals for Aidiladha this year should not more than 10.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the limit depends on the location of the abattoir location.

“However, despite being allowed to carry out the slaughter, the government encourages it to be done in the abattoir under the Department of Veterinary Services Malaysia and the private sector.

“In the Department of Veterinary Services, there is 28 abattoir, while the private sector has 31. So, it is better to do it at the abattoir, “he said in a press conference today.

Meanwhile, the total attendance of the public during the ‘korban’ is based on a ratio of only 20 people for one (1) cow (20: 1), including the slaughter workers.

In the meantime, eating with the concept of a feast for slaughter workers is not allowed. They can eat but only packaged food.

Commenting further, the ‘korban’ can be performed for four (4) days, starting the first day and continuing until three days of tasyriq.

“Only Aidiladha this year falls on a Friday, time is limited, (so) it is encouraged to do slaughter on the second, third and fourth day,” he said.
