WhatsApp Introduces Animated Stickers, Web Version Gets Dark Mode

Whatsapp finally introduced the dark mode feature for Whatsapp Web and desktop version. This feature along with other features for iOS and Android such as animated stickers and group video calls will be out over the next few weeks.

The limit on the number of participants in a video call on WhatsApp was increased to 8 participants. Now, they give users the ability to focus on a particular participant.

Users now can press and hold on one of the participant’s videos feed to maximize it so that it appears on full screen. Also now there is an icon in group chats with at most 8 participants to start a group video call just with a single tap.

Animated stickers were spotted on the iOS and Android beta version for WhatsApp. WhatsApp also announced that animated stickers will soon be a thing on the main version of WhatsApp and it is rolling out various animated sticker packs for users to enjoy with.

Back then users have to save people’s phone numbers but now they can simply scan a QR code to add other users in their contacts.
