LG Electronics Unveil All-New, iF Award-Winning Indoor Unit Lineup for Water Heating Solutions

LG Electronics is turning up the heat, literally. At Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) 2026 in Milan (March 24–27), the tech giant is dropping its all-new lineup of indoor units (IDUs) for air-to-water heat pump systems.

Say hello to the Combi, Hydro, and Control Units, designed to make European homes cozier, cooler, and way smarter.

Unified Design Meets Smart Living

These three units don’t just perform; they look the part. Sharing a clean, consistent design language, the family just snagged a 2026 iF Design Award.

LG upgraded the interface with a 6.8-inch colour touchscreen and built-in Wi-Fi, so you can manage your heating system from your phone via the LG ThinQ™ app.

A handy LED on the front panel lets you check status at a glance, because who has time to squint?

Compact, clever, and perfectly sized for tight European utility rooms, LG integrated key components and redesigned the internals to shrink unit volume.

That means you get flexible placement without sacrificing style—or performance.

Meet the Units

Combi Unit, the all-in-one powerhouse. It handles heating, cooling, and domestic hot water, complete with a 200-litre stainless steel tank.

Rear piping connections give installers more flexibility, and the Two-Zone model comes with a mixing pump and buffer tank built in, keeping things simple.

Hydro Unit, small but mighty. LG cut its size by over 30% while adding a built-in three-way valve, drain pan, and larger 12-litre expansion tank.

Front-access design and a new bracket-style mounting system make installation almost effortless—even one person can manage it in some setups.

Control Unit, the minimalist hero. It controls heating without direct hydraulic connections and fits snugly into tight spaces. Built-in heater logic reduces the need for extra components, giving installers a clean, hassle-free setup.

Eco-Forward and R290 Ready

LG’s new units pair seamlessly with R290 Monobloc outdoor systems, which use a natural refrigerant with ultra-low global warming potential.

Together, they heat homes at -28°C and deliver hot water up to 75°C. And with the monobloc setup, all you need is water piping, no messy refrigerant pipes running indoors.

“European homes are tight, layouts vary, and comfort expectations are high,” said James Lee, president of LG ES Company.

“We designed our new indoor units to meet these needs: stylish design, smart system integration, and installation-friendly engineering.”

When Can You Get Them?

The Combi, Hydro, and Control Units hit European stores in the first half of 2026.

Availability will depend on your country, but one thing’s certain: LG just made smart, stylish home heating cooler than ever.
