Bayern Munich was crowned as a champion for the sixth time in the Champions League final in Lisbon by beating Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) 1-0.
This was certainly a sweet success for Bayern coach Hansi Flick, who added the Champions League to the German club after initially taking over as interim coach from Niko Kovac’s dismissal in November.
Bayern’s victory came after Kingsley Coman scored the only goal of the match in the 59th minute through a pass from Joshua Kimmich.
The victory will be disappointing for the PSG team which has a line-up of stars such as Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
These players, if seen, find it difficult to score throughout the match because they were thwarted by the agility of Bayern goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer. As a result, Neuer was named ‘Man Of The Match’ for the final match.
With this victory, Bayern has won their 21st match thanks to the guide by coach Flick.
Not just has the ability to produce an amazing performance that beat Barcelona 8-2 in the quarterfinals and even frustrated PSG in the final, it can be said that Bayern Munich is a worthy European champion, having won every match in the tournament this season.
