“I’ll Never Let You Down,” Wife Breaks Windows To Rescue Husband’s Gundam Collection From Flood

A woman in China was applauded by social media users for saving her husband’s “Mobile Suit Gundam” collection following intense flooding in Chongqing Municipality, China.

The husband shared the video explaining that his wife saved the collections and, referring to his wife, said ‘I will never let you down in this life’.

The woman, whose name was not revealed, is also a fan of the anime and manga franchise, so she insisted on going back and saving her husband’s collection. Her husband had already given up on saving his prized possessions because he didn’t know how to swim.

“Based on the water level warning line issued by the community, they thought it would not flood the second floor, but the water level rose. He can’t swim. His wife swims across the Yangtze River and assessed that the risk of stagnant water is not high and she has a life jacket, so she decided to save Gundam,”.

The woman was a long-distance swimmer and managed to go back to their apartment. She then grabbed all of the boxes and got on a rubber boat. Rescuers and their dog, Oreo, rushed to help pull her boat to safety.

The woman reportedly suffered a cut on her finger while trying to save her husband’s collection.
