LATEST COVID-19: Malaysia Records 15 New Covid-19 Cases Today

Putrajaya, 13 August – A total of 15 new COVID-19 cases were recorded today involving 14 locals and one non-citizen.

According to the Ministry of Health Malaysia, the number of active cases with infection is increasing to 183 cases.

“Until 13 August 2020 at 12:00 noon, there are 15 new cases that have been reported. This brings the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 9,129 cases.

“Therefore, the number of active cases with COVID-19 infection increased to 183 cases. They have been isolated and given treatment, “said the Director-General of Health, Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah in a press conference today.

Four of the 15 new cases are import cases involving Malaysian citizens consisting of students returning from Indonesia and Yemen.

11 cases in the country involved 10 Malaysian citizens while one case involved non-citizens in Kuala Lumpur.

Meanwhile, a total of 4 cases were confirmed to recover COVID-19 today, bringing the cumulative number of cases that have fully recovered from COVID-19 to 8,821 cases (96.6 percent of the total cases).
