LATEST COVID-19: New Cases Back To 1 Digit, Only 9 Cases Today

PUTRAJAYA, August 11 – The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed that only nine (9) new cases of COVID-19 infection were reported today.

The number of new cases returning to one (1) figure makes the total number of cases now 9,103 cases.

Of the nine (9) cases, five (5) were import cases and another four (4) were local contagions.

It was reported that three (3) cases from local cases were from the Immigration Detention Depot Cluster (DTI) Bukit Jalil, all of which involved non-citizens.

Active cases with infectiousness recorded 169 cases, equivalent to 1.86 percent.

Meanwhile, only six (6) cured cases were reported, bringing the cumulative number of recent cured cases to 8,809 cases equivalent to 96.77 percent.

With no recent deaths, the number remains 125 cases.
