18 Year Old Student Allegedly Murdered By Taxi Driver

A 25 years old taxi driver got arrested on Tuesday for allegedly murdered an 18 years old student of the East Bank High School that is located in Alexandra. The student’s body was found two days before the taxi driver got arrested and it was allegedly found with gunshot wounds on the upper body.

Brigadier Mathapelo Peters, the police’s spokesperson said “On Sunday, police were called to the scene where the body of the 18-year-old students we found”. He also added that allegedly, the on-scene inspection by cops had found that the victim had been shot on the upper body area, and also paramedics had certified her death on the scene.

THE INVESTIGATION

When the dead body was found, nobody knows who is it. Because of that, a murder case opened by the police so that they can investigate more about the body.

“On the same day the body was found, a boy who was playing in the park had picked up a handbag that belongs to his sister. He decided to take the bag home and his mother discovered an identity document that belongs to her 18-year-old daughter who had left the house the previous day so that she can visit her relative”.

“The mother immediately decided to rush to the Alexandra Police Station to report about that. The unknown dead body that was found earlier, was identified by the worried mother as her 18-year-old daughter, a pupil at East Bank High School.” reported by Brigadier Mathapelo Peters.

Brigadier Mathapelo Peters also said, “Preliminary evidence showed that it connects the 25-year-old taxi driver to the murder, and because of that, the taxi driver got arrested.”

The suspect showed himself in the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court on Thursday and his case got postponed for further investigation. He remains in custody for now.
