5 Home Remedies That Are Proven To Treat Health Problems

Some people don’t really believe in home remedies. They think that home remedies are traditional knowledge that is being passed from their grandparents and not relevant to be used for now.

It is true that some of the remedies might not work on some people and in a few conditions. Therefore, scientists have been working on proving that certain remedies can greatly help to cure some of the health issues. So, here are five home remedies that can treat some of your problems.

However, if you have a chronic health condition and on medications, do check with your doctor before trying these remedies.

1. Peppermint oil for headaches

According to a few studies, peppermint essential oil can numb the pain of a tension headache and cool the skin. To use this remedy, add a few drops of olive oil to the peppermint essential oil to prevent skin irritation. Apply the mixture onto your forehead and temples.

2. Sugar for hiccups

Have tried many ways to treat hiccups? Here is another way you can try. Claire Martin, a nutritionist said that grainy sugar crystals force you to swallow harder. Thus, it will reset your diaphragm to stop spasms. Mind to take a spoonful of sugar the next time hiccup hits you.
