The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards had been held on the 30th of August which took place in New York City. Because of the Covid-19 Pandemic situation, MTV came up with a suitable solution for all of the fans out there to enjoy the show while still abiding by the safety rules of social distancing.
They provided drive-in performances, celebrities, and also dancers would wear face masks and many other precaution steps for everyone’s safety.

1) Special Tribute To Late Chadwick Boseman.
Different from the previous VMAs that would open up with a very bombastic opening, the 2020 MTV VMAs opened up with the sad news of Chadwick Boseman’s death announced by Keke Palmer. MTV wanted to dedicate their honor and thanks for the late Chadwick Boseman who has been a true hero for everyone.
2) Lady Gaga’s Unique Fashion And Face Masks.
Mother Monster has always been associated with one of a kind fashion in any event that she attended in her life. Obviously, MTV VMAs is definitely one of the events where she will wear the best outfits that she has. She also wore the most fashionable face masks in the event compared to any other celebrities.
3) Doja Cat’s Neon Vibe Performance.
Most of the performers that performed for the night used the help of green screen and also superb editing to make their performances the best that they can. One of the most amazing performances is by Doja Cat. Doja Cat gave everyone the neon and technicolor vibe in her performance. Her dance numbers also are impeccable.
4) Miley Cyrus “Wrecking Ball” Comeback.
Miley Cyrus made a reenactment by performing one of her most popular song that is “Wrecking Ball”. She started her performance with her current song “Midnight Sky” then she jumped atop a giant wrecking ball and everyone was really amazed by it.
Gaga also made VMAs history on Sunday by winning the first-ever Tricon Award. “I want to share this award with everybody at home tonight,” she said during part of her speech. “Everybody at home that is their own form of a Tricon. I wish for you to think right now of three things that define who you are and take a moment to reward yourself for your bravery.”
