India, a man who lost his smartphone in a shop received it back after a few days later. The person who stole it decided to return it to the owner after he realized he didn’t know how to use the phone.

It is said that the man has left his mobile phone worth Rs 45,000 (RM2500) by mistake at a sweet shop at Jamalpur in East Burdwan district on September 4. The phone then was stolen from the shop counter, where it was lying, by a 22-year-old person.

The phone owner had told the police as the phone could not be traced at the sweet shop.

The owner had tried to make a few calls to his number by using a different phone but turned out the phone was switched off.

Everything change a few days after when the man repeated the attempt and the man who had stolen the phone answered the call and told him that he wanted to give back the phone that he stole. The man said it is because he did not know how to operate it.

The owner said, “I was surprised when the man took the call and said he wanted to return my phone. I collected the cell phone that very day from his residence with police help,”.

“He even expressed remorse for his actions,” the phone owner added.

It said that the police did not take any action on the thief as he had returned the phone.
