COVID-19: 75 New Cases In Singapore; 14 Imported

SINGAPORE, Sept 9 — Singapore has preliminarily confirmed an additional 75 cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, with 14 imported cases.

In its brief data released here today, the republic’s Ministry of Health (MOH) said that all the imported cases had all been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

The ministry said there was one case in the community while 60 other cases were dorm residents.

With the new developments, it brings the total number of infections in the republic to 57,166.

In the full data released late yesterday, the republic classified 940 of the reported cases as imported, 2,230 as community cases and 53,921 involving dorm residents.

A total of 56,461 patients have fully recovered from the infection and 48 confirmed cases remain in hospital, but none in the intensive care unit.

Meanwhile, 555 patients who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still tested positive for COVID-19, have been isolated and are being cared for at community facilities.

To date, 27 people have died from complications due to COVID-19 in the republic.

A new cluster was identified yesterday at S11 Dormitory @ Punggol of Seletar North Link.
