JPJ Updates New Standard Fees For Driving License

So you’re ready to hit the roads? Just like any other services, the cost to obtain a driver’s license has increased as compared to 10 or 20 years ago.

The current and new standard fees for the year 2020 have been released by The Malaysian Land Transport Bureau (JPJ).

For all the people out there that are planning to get their driving license, these are the new and latest prices that you should be alerted with for each of the packages in 2020:

  1. B2 Motorcycle: RM250-RM450 (not exceeding 250cc)
  2. B Motorcycle: RM900-RM1100 (not more than 500cc)
  3. D manual transmission car: RM1150-RM1300
  4. D automatic transmission car: RM1250-1500

With the stated price, the government also gives permission for the driving academy to charge transportation fees. These mentioned transportation fees would also include all the fuel costs of the vehicles used which is charged at RM0.50 per kilometers.
