LATEST: Government Announces RM1,000 Assistance For B40 Households

The government has agreed to provide ‘Bantuan Prihatin Nasional 2.0’ amounting to RM 1000 for B40 households.

This matter was presented by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yaasin in a press conference of the Special Message ‘Kita Prihatin’ which aired live today.

BPN 2.0 payments will be made in two installments, the first at the end of October 2020 and the second, in January 2021. For the B40 group, the first installment payment in October is RM700 and the second, in January 2021 is RM300.

“No application needs to be made to get BPN 2.0 assistance. The government will channel aid directly to the 10.6 million recipients who have been approved under the BPN previously. ”

He further explained that for those who are eligible but have never received BPN, the Government will provide opportunities for new appeals and applications.
