Malaysian Now Can Be Fined Up To RM10,000 If Changing Direction Suddenly Without Giving Signal

Almost every day, we can see various incidents where there are road users who change direction suddenly without giving any signal. This matter should be taken seriously as it can cause injury and even death to other road users.

Now, individuals who suddenly change direction without giving a signal causing an accident to the point of serious injury can be fined up to RM10,000.

According to the Facebook account of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), accidents that cause serious injuries due to careless driving can be prosecuted under section 43 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

If convicted, the perpetrator can be fined not less than RM4,000 and not more than RM10,000 and can also be jailed for not more than two years.
