Man Found Dead On Bukit Bendera

GEORGE TOWN, Sept 17 —  A man died while climbing Bukit Bendera, Ayer Hitam, here today.

A spokesman from the Penang Fire and Rescue Department’s operation centre said  Ooi Hock Eng, 51, from Sungai Ara, Bayan Lepas, was found by passers-by, who then alerted the department,.

He said the department received  a distress call at 6.39 am following which a team from the Paya Terubong was sent to the scene.

A medical team who arrived at the scene confirmed Ooi was dead, he said in a statement today, adding that the body was then sent to the Penang Hospital for post mortem.
