Everyone knows that COVID-19 virus can be transmitted to anyone, no matter who they are. In fact, health workers can also be exposed to this dangerous virus.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) today listed the causes of COVID-19 outbreaks among their health workers.
According to a MOH statement on Facebook, the following are the causes:
- 53 percent of infections are caused by other workers
- 22 percent of the community
- 17 percent when managing patients whose infection status is not yet known.
In addition, no MOH staff was infected while managing COVID-19 patients in the isolation ward and intensive care unit (ICU).
Therefore, health workers at MOH hospitals and clinics as well as the private sector are advised to wear a 3-PLY surgical mask face mask during working hours and practice other preventive measures.
Safe social distancing at work among colleagues and when managing patients should also be practiced throughout the duty.
At the same time, the same use space as the nurse counter, dining room, pantry, prayer room and staff toilet should always be in a clean condition.
