Woman Got Fined RM1,000 For Not Using MySejahtera When Entering Melaka Eatery

COVID-19 is definitely something that everyone cannot take it lightly because it has been a very serious issue worldwide nowadays. You will definitely be punished if you do not follow the current SOPs. That is what happened with a woman in Melaka who got fined with the amount of RM1,000 just for not checking in via MySejahtera App when she visited an eatery recently to take away her food.

Based on the news reported in Sin Chew Daily, this particular woman thought that it wasn’t necessary for her to check-in using the MySejahtera App while she was waiting for her food to be prepared so she decided to ignore the most basic SOP ever created to follow. In the meantime, the authorities who were patrolling near the area soon discovered that the offender and immediately issued an RM1,000 fine on the woman.

Other than that, the authorities also issued an RM1,000 fine on the eatery itself after it was discovered that nobody has enforced MySejahtera App check-in for the particular woman. Devastatingly, the particular eatery’s staff also has failed to take her temperature when the woman arrived at the specific eatery.

PDRM has issued in a total of 515 fines in this month alone, towards all the citizens who have not obeyed SOPs during the recent CMCO. Melaka Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department Chief Asst Comm that is Beh Eng Lai, said that there are still many citizens who don’t follow all the SOPs and they usually try to give excuses when they’re found guilty of not following the stated regulations.
