National Park located in Pahang is the largest forest reserve in Peninsular Malaysia and is a popular attraction especially for nature lovers.
However, many may not know that apart from the state of Pahang, there is another entrance to the unique National Park and it is only located in the state of Terengganu.
Located around Lake Kenyir, the largest man-made lake in Southeast Asia, many will be amazed by the natural attractions of flora and fauna surrounded by green lakes in the national park.
For everyone’s knowledge, it is Terengganu National Park, Tanjung Mentong which is located around Kenyir Lake. The only way to get here is by boat and cross Lake Kenyir which takes about 45 minutes.
According to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources on Twitter, among the activities that can be done in Terengganu National Park, Tanjung Mentong is fishing, bird watching, and jungle trekking.
Not just that, you can also explore caves like ‘Bewah’ Cave and ‘Taat’ Cave which have archaeological value. Surely you will be amazed by the beauty of nature here.
But, for those who want to go to this National Park, you need to first stop at the Terengganu National Park Office in Kuala Berang to apply for a permit.
