Thunderstorm Warning Is Expected To Hit 13 Countries Until This Evening

Thunderstorms and heavy rains are expected in some states until 5.00 this afternoon. The warning issued at 2.25 pm just now involved states in the peninsula and outside peninsular Malaysia.

According to a statement issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Department, thunderstorms, heavy rains and strong winds are expected in Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Kelantan (Jeli and Gua Musang), Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub and Bentong), Selangor (Sabak Bernam, Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Hulu Langat), Negeri Sembilan (Jelebu, Seremban, Port Dickson and Rembau), Melaka.

Apart from that are Johor (Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru), Sarawak: Kuching (Kuching), Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah (Tanjung Manis and Daro), Kapit, Bintulu (Tatau), Miri (Subis, Miri and Marudi) and Limbang, Sabah: Inland (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Keningau and Tambunan), Pantai Barat, Tawau (Kunak and Lahad Datu ), Sandakan (Telupid, Kinabatangan and Beluran) and Kudat, Labuan.
