Allegation That Prime Minister Violated MOH Rules Is Not True – PM’s Office

Through a media statement by the Prime Minister’s Office, it was informed that Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was not given a surveillance bracelet by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).

The Prime Minister is also advised to undergo self-quarantine and self-health monitoring at home every 14 days using the home assessment tool (HAT) in the MySejahtera application after the risk assessment made by MOH officials on October, 5.

In this matter, he is not required by the MOH to wear a surveillance bracelet.

The media statement also explained that the COVID-19 detection screening test conducted on October 5 on Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was confirmed negative the next day.

He also underwent three COVID-19 detection tests over the past three weeks on September 22, 26, and 29 and was found to be negative.

“Therefore, the allegation that the Prime Minister violated the MOH directive is not true,” the statement said.

However, he was advised to immediately seek treatment at a nearby health facility if he experienced symptoms during the monitoring period.
