Probably many of us like to eat late at night. This routine is often done to fill the hungry stomach when midnight arrives. However, did you know that eating late at night can make it difficult for us to lose weight?
Undoubtedly, when we often eat late at night, it can indirectly interfere with our daily eating habits. Especially for those who want to lose weight, eating late at night should be avoided.
But, how can we avoid eating late at night? Don’t worry, you just need to follow the three tips that have been shared by the Nutrition Division of the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) below:
1) Plan a daily mealtime
- Do not skip meals to avoid extreme hunger at the next meal.
- Practice #sukusukuseparuh for every meal.
- Take healthy snacks such as fruit or milk before bed if necessary.
2) Avoid sleeping late
- Waking up at night can trigger extreme hunger.
- Lack of sleep causes individuals to often feel hungry throughout the day.
- Avoid activities that cause you to sleep late.
3) If still hungry;
- Avoid eating foods or drinks that are high in calories, sugar, and a fat such as chocolate, burgers, carbonated drinks, or chips.
- Sleep immediately.
