The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) recently issued a thunderstorm or heavy rain warning in several areas in Malaysia which is expected to occur until 7pm tonight.
The thunderstorm warning issued at 3:55 pm involved 9 states in Malaysia. Here are some areas that are expected to be hit by a thunderstorm until 7 tonight:
- Perak
- Kelantan
- Terengganu: (Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu and Marang)
- Pahang: (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Bera and Rompin)
- Selangor: (Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak and Petaling)
- Kuala Lumpur
- Johor: (Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat and Pontian)
- Sarawak: Kuching, Serian, Samarahan (Samarahan), Bintulu and Miri (Subis and Miri)
People returning from work this afternoon are advised to be careful, especially in areas that are expected to be hit by thunderstorms until tonight.
