The central “Fast and Furious” franchise will come to a conclusion after the 10th and 11th films, Variety has confirmed.
Justin Lin, who directed the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and ninth “Fast and Furious” films, will return to direct the final two installments and drive the franchise to the finish line after over two decades in theaters.
Other reports mention that the last two Fast and Furious films are set to be directed by Justin Lin. Among those who once sowed creativity with this franchise are Rob Cohen (2001’s Fast and the Furious), John Singleton (2003’s 2 Fast 2 Furious), James Wan (2015’s Furious 7), and F. Gary Gray (2017’s The Lucky One’s The Luck).
The F9 directed by Justin Lin was initially scheduled to exit in May 2020, which was changed in 2021 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
