Portugal national Cristiano Ronaldo tested positive for COVID-19, the Portuguese Football Association reported yesterday.
The association, however, said that Ronaldo’s health was in good condition and had no symptoms, but did not say when the world football star was confirmed positive.
The report also mentioned that Ronaldo will be rested from representing the Portuguese national team due to the infection.
Due to that, the other players in the Portuguese squad were instructed to undergo a test on Tuesday morning and the results were all found to be negative.
Ronaldo is currently with the national squad in the Nation League competition. Last Sunday, he played against France in the competition which saw the result end in a draw without any goals.
