The number of positive cases of COVID-19 infection around the world is now reported to have exceeded 50 million cases.
The United States remains the country with the highest number of positive cases with 9.9 million cases, followed by India (8.5 million), Brazil (5.6 million), France (1.8 million) and Russia (1.7 million), Spain (1.3 million), Argentina (1.2 million), United Kingdom (1.19 million) and Colombia (1.14 million).
Mexico, Italy, Peru, South Africa, Iran, Germany, Poland, and Chile are among the countries that recorded more than half a million cases.
Countries in the range of 300,000 to 500,000 COVID-19 cases are Iraq, Belgium, Ukraine, Indonesia, and Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, in Southeast Asia, Indonesia remains the highest positive case with over 437,000 cases and over 14,000 deaths.
The data released by John Hopkins University also records that about 1.2 million deaths have been recorded so far.
