Juventus May Sell Christiano Ronaldo Because He Is Too Expensive To Be Keep

Juventus are keen to extend Cristiano Ronaldo’s current contract. Unfortunately, the Portuguese striker was too expensive for them to keep.

Over the past two decades, Ronaldo has become one of the best players in the world.

Despite being 35 years old, he remains a great football player. Not only that, but he is also able to compete with much younger players across Italy and Europe.

The COVID-19 pandemic that hit the world this year has caused many European teams to experience financial difficulties. Juventus are one of the teams that also fell, the victim.

The Italian giant was recently considering selling Ronaldo due to financial factors after being affected following the COVID-19 pandemic.

The talented striker earns around 30 million euros per season. That number is far more than the second player to receive the highest salary at Juventus, Matthijs de Ligt.

It can be said that his salary is a big problem for the club.

The Italian club claims that at this point, while it would be nice to give him a contract extension, the best thing to do is not to extend it.

According to JuveFC, his contract renewal is unthinkable and the club hopes to raise some of the money they used to sign him back in the next transfer window.

While most teams will struggle to sign him, they hope PSG will work to get Ronaldo.

The French team is currently in the quest for their Champions League trophy which they failed to get last season after losing to Bayern Munich in the final.
