Mysterious Silver Monolith In US Disappeared

A mysterious monolith found buried in a remote desert near the western United States (US) and triggering the puzzle of how it could have been there, is reported missing.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in Utah claimed it had received a ‘credible report’ of the object being released by an ‘unknown party’ on Friday afternoon.

We have received credible reports that the illegally installed structure, referred to as the “monolith” has been removed from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) public lands by an unknown party, “BLM said on its official Facebook.

BLM also admitted that it did not move the metal structure which was considered private property.

“We do not investigate crimes involving private property which are handled by the local sheriff’s office,” added BLM.

The metal in the shape of a shiny triangular pole about four meters high was found by a local official from the Utah Department of Public Safety’s Aero Bureau who conducted an air patrol on November 18.

To date, there is no clear indication of who is responsible for placing the object in the area.

Although the official refused to reveal the location of the object because he was worried that many would flock to the remote desert area, some people could detect it tucked in a red rock slot canyon south of Moab.
