Putrajaya Give Business Spaces To 41 Muda Kota Entrepreneurs

Minister of Federal Territories, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Annuar Musa handed over 41 business space offers to young entrepreneurs in Putrajaya last Friday.

The program, developed under Cakna Entrepreneurship, is a Post-Covid-19 Economic Development Initiative to help urban youths who are affected and lose their source of income due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“All 41 selected entrepreneurs in Putrajaya received a kiosk offer today and will start their business operations.

“As an additional initiative, this program also offers a rental payment exemption of RM150.00 to participants at the Putrajaya Youth Commerce Square Site for the first six months.

“After the six-month period, traders only have to pay RM150.00 a month for the first year.

“Next, the rental rate of RM300.00 will be charged starting in the second year of business operation,” he told the media after the handing over of the offer letter at Dataran Niaga Belia, Precinct 14, Putrajaya on Friday evening.

According to him, since it was announced on July 7, 2020, this program has received a very encouraging response from the people of the Federal Territory, especially from the youths.

A total of 96 sites have been identified in Putrajaya comprising some existing retail space, and retail space that is in the planning stages for future construction.

“It includes retail space at Precinct 5,14 and 18 Neighborhood Complex, Dataran Gemilang Precinct 4, Laman Duta Precinct 14, Medan Selera Bahera Precinct 8, and several retail spaces (stalls) at Neighborhood Complex.

“This business space will be offered to young youth entrepreneurs in Putrajaya in stages starting in November 2020. Additions other than these 96 sites will also be made from time to time based on the suitability of other strategic locations that will be identified,” he said.
