SAFM Is Currently Searching For Malaysian Man Caught Shooting Stray Dogs Using Rifle

There has been a particular video that went viral that shows a man shooting a stray dog using a rifle at his own housing area. This video got a lot of attention from many people including the Persatuan Haiwan Terbiar Malaysia – SAFM Facebook group. This specific group is on the lookout for this unknown uncle who shoots stray dogs using his rifle.

This particular Facebook posting stated:

“Who gives the power for this uncle to shoot stray dogs?”.

“The Association of Abandoned Animals Malaysia SAFM received a video in which a man shot a dog with a rifle. It is cruel and inhumane. Location is still under investigation”.

“The dog that was the target of the shooter is believed to have been shot because its shout of pain was clearly heard through the video recording. Whether the dog is suffering in pain or has already died is still a question mark”.

“The Malaysian Association of Abandoned Animals SAFM requested the cooperation of witnesses who have authentic information about this incident or know the perpetrator to contact the Malaysian Association of Abandoned Animals SAFM on 016 266 2007 (Whatsapp only). The identity of the witness will be protected. Please come forward and help us to catch this cruel perpetrator”.

If successfully prosecuted, severe punishment awaits the perpetrator under the Animal Welfare Act 2015 Section 30 which is a maximum fine of RM100,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 3 years or both”.
