In his caption, he wrote;

“Part 1: 18th Nov 2020 – Consider one of the most important days in the Year 2020.

Officially Attempting a Guinness World Records – Greatest Vertical Height Stair Climbing in One Hour (Male)

I would like to thank everyone for the supports. My family, my friends, crews, and all the media who came and cover the event! I am so glad to have all of you last night. Appreciate 🤗

It was a long day as well even though until the last hour before the attempt. Although I mentally rehearse that all these not going to affect me during the official attempt later but it eventually affecting me!”

He comfortably broke the 1.227km world record set by David Robles Tapia in Zaragoza, Spain in 2019, pending an official review that would be announced within two days.

“There are numerous reasons behind this [world record attempt] including promoting Malaysia to the world and getting more people to take up the sport as well as to raise funds for our association’s activities for 2021.

“Through this, I also hope that many more will continue to challenge the boundaries and eventually get this sport recognized and introduced in the Olympics,” Soh, who is also president of the Malaysia Tower Running Association, was quoted saying by Bernama.
