Tony Fernandes ‘Working’ As Food Delivery Rider For AirAsia Food App

Tony Fernandes who is the AirAsia group chief executive officer (CEO) is currently having a second job as a food delivery rider for his one and only airline’s newly launched food platform that is AirAsia Food. He posted a picture on his official Instagram social media platform saying, “Getting ready to make food deliveries to your house”.

This particular food delivery service called AirAsia Food has started out in the month of June this year of 2020 with the intention to support local businesses. They could help out these businesses by delivering their orders to all of the customers out there. According to a statement released, the AirAsia Food ordering platform has enabled over 200 merchants, including local businesses and multi-chain F&B outlets, to serve people around the Klang Valley.

For the time being, this service of AirAsia Food is currently within Klang Valley only.

The difference between AirAsia Food and all the other food delivery services would be that AirAsia Food claims to have a 0% commission model. Based on a statement, this 0% commission model enables merchants to “power and manage their own businesses without having to pay high commission rates”.
