(Video) World’s Deepest 45meter Diving Pool Opens In Poland

In Poland, the deepest pool that’s currently available 45 meters deep, has finally opened its doors for the public to come and experience.

Divers were seen exploring the pool at Warsaw during the weekend, based in the town of Msxczonow that sits southwest of the Polish capital.

Equivalent to two Olympic-sized swimming pools, the spot is filled with roughly 8,000 cubic meters of water, earning the name it goes by – Deep spot.

This spot is an attraction to not only common people who are in it for the thrill, but also scuba divers and freedivers who wouldn’t have to visit the ocean every time they felt like going in the water.

There’s also a transparent tunnel that people can look through to see what’s inside without actually needing to get themselves wet.

The current Guinness World Record holder, Y-40 in Montegrotto Terme in Italy – that has a pool with a depth of 42m – received its title in 2014 when the pool was just opened.

Przemyslaw Kacprzak, a diving instructor, told AFP: “There are no magnificent fish or coral reefs here so it is no substitute for the sea but it is definitely a good place to learn and to train in order to dive safely in open water.”

“It’s like a kindergarten for divers,” the 39-year-old added.

Meanwhile, there is a project for an even deeper pool in the UK at 50m called Blue Abyss that’s undergoing construction.
