IKEA Starts Introducing ‘Tiny House’ With Prices Around $ 47, 550 In US

If before this we were excited after finding out the world’s leading furniture brands, IKEA will sell ‘second hand’ furniture, this time we are surprised again when the brand will start selling small-sized homes.

According to a report published in Travel and Leisure, in order to build an eco-friendly concept house, IKEA has partnered with Vox Creative and RV and Escape, which are entrepreneurs for small-sized homes or also known as tiny houses.

Despite using a home trailer as a home, the brand still maintains the concept of comfort and luxury in using IKEA furniture to build an eco-friendly home.

“We have featured a number of IKEA products in our small residential designs available nationwide.

“That’s because the brand reflects reusable and recyclable materials that we incorporate into the actual structure,” said Dan Dobrowolski, Founder of Escape to Lonely Planet.

The small residence will be renovated and equipped with various needs that must be owned by the homeowner. These items include eco-friendly concepts such as solar panels, compost toilets, and hot water supply on demand.

Inside the house trailer, there is a ‘queen’ size bed, a folding sofa, and storage space. Homeowners can equip the space with their own furniture or they can build their own using IKEA furniture.

It is understood that the house only takes about 60 days to build and equip the house with recyclable items. The price of the small house starts at around RM192,000 ($ 47, 550).

The house is small in size and uses the BOHO XL trailer, however, so far it is understood that it is only sold in the United States.

But if you have a small home or house and maybe a large container (if it can fit furniture), you can probably make this tiny house design your next inspiration.
