PNB Announces ASB Dividend 4.25 Cents & ‘Ehsan’ Payment 0.75 Cents For First 30,000 Units

There are only a few days left before entering the new year and it seems that the day has arrived where the public, especially the Bumiputeras who invest in ASB under Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) are waiting for dividends.

Through a post on Facebook, Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB) announced the distribution of income for its main fund, Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) for the financial year ended 31 December 2020.

Revenue distribution payments amounting to RM7.6 billion will benefit 10.2 million unitholders who own 173.2 billion units in ASB.

The payment consists of an income distribution of 3.50 sen per unit and a bonus of 0.75 sen per unit with a total amount of 4.25 sen per unit. In conjunction with ASB’s 30th Anniversary, unitholders will also receive special Ehsan 0.75 sen per unit up to the first 30,000 units.

The calculation of ASB income distribution and bonuses is based on the average monthly minimum balance held during the financial year. Units reinvested from the distribution of income and bonuses will be credited into the unit holder’s account on 1 January 2021.

For everyone’s information, ASB Transactions have been temporarily postponed from 22 December 2020 to 3 January 2021 to facilitate the calculation of income distribution.

Unitholders can check and update their accounts through www.myasnb.com.my or the myASNB mobile application, or at any ASNB branch offices and agents nationwide when the transaction resumes on 4 January 2021.
