(Video) Chef Nigella Lawson Breaks The Internet With Her ‘Microwave’ Pronunciation

Nigella Lucy Lawson is an English food writer and television cook. She is the daughter of Nigel Lawson, former Conservative Chancellor of the Exchequer, and Vanessa (née Salmon) Lawson, whose family owns the food and catering business of J. Lyons and Co.

The moment of chaos occurred on social media when a video of the famous chef Nigella Lawson went viral about how she pronounced the word ‘microwave’.

Nigella Says ‘Meecro-Wa-Vay’
British chef Nigella Lawson often steals the spotlight with a rather concentrated British accent, but this time it may be a little extreme or extra.

Nigella Lawson returns with her new series Cook, Eat, Repeat. However, in the show it was not her cooking skills in the kitchen that mesmerized the audience but when she spoke with her British accent.

Recently, it went viral on how she pronounces the word ‘microwave’. We used to call it ‘mic-ro-wave’ but Nigella is a little different. She said: “I still need a bit of milk – full fat – which I’ve warmed in the ‘meecro-wa-vay’.”

Netizens Like to Hear Nigella’s Sayings

Apparently, the clip in the show went viral and became the talk of Twitter users. Many users like the way Nigella speaks. Some wonder if Nigella did not know how to pronounce it correctly or did it accidentally?

Lawson answered a Twitter user’s question about whether she really said ‘meecro-wa-vay’.

Well, I do say it like that, but not because I think that’s how it’s actually pronounced,” she said.
