According to The Verge, this new feature allows users to select different wallpapers in each chat room either for personal chat or group chat. Not only that, this latest feature can help users from sending messages to others by using the same wallpaper.
Users can also edit colors and create images before the wallpaper is used. In this latest feature as well, WhatsApp also introduces new wallpapers with bright, dark color options, custom wallpaper options, and solid color variations.
Apart from that, users can also differentiate wallpaper for dark and light themes. This new feature can also sync the system on the smartphone so that when the user activates the dark mode, the wallpaper will also switch to dark mode.
If the user wants to use the old wallpaper, you can select the previous image from the Wallpaper Archive column.
Also, to upload different wallpapers to each WhatsApp chat room, users just need to go to Settings> Chats> Display> Wallpapers or select a friend, click on the Menu button on the right> Wallpapers.
