JAIS Releases Statement Regarding The Viral Video By Sajjad

A few days ago, Sajjad, a well-known entrepreneur showed a video of her crying, as she was being handcuffed by a group of authorities.

Sajjad had made a police report regarding the injustice that happened towards her.

Recently, the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) responds to Sajat’s transmitted video regarding the incident involving herself and a few law enforcement officers, where unnecessary force was applied to her.

The contents of the media statement are; the JAIS Enforcement Officers that are involved have been called by the police to be testified about the police report made by Sajjad.

JAIS also investigates Sajjad’s case according to Section 10 of Syariah Criminal Enactment of Selangor State No. 5 Year 1995, following his actions in Selangor State and some complaints received about his behavior in 2018 and 2020.

JAIS had arrested Sajjad a few days back for wearing “inappropriately” as she was outside. Netizens had mixed opinions on how the situation was handled.
