Shop Review: ‘Nasi Lemak Jambatan Tamparuli’, Delicious Nasi Lemak With Varieties of Dishes

‘Nasi Lemak Jambatan Tamparuli’ is actually one of the most famous ‘nasi lemak’ businesses that started in the year 2016 and originally from Samarahan, Sarawak. Every time the name of ‘Nasi Lemak Jambatan Tamparuli’ got mentioned, surely many Sarawakians especially in the Samarahan and Kuching areas know and remember the deliciousness of its ‘nasi lemak’.

However, the Nasi Lemak Jambatan Tamparuli branch is no longer operating in Sarawak because the owner has already moved to Peninsular Malaysia. However, the legacy of nasi lemak will continue at the new location in Section 18, Shah Alam, Selangor. The owner, that is Ustaz Mohd Ali Jainneh said, the action is taken to follow the demands of the task.

The owner also stated, “The name of ‘Nasi Lemak Jambatan Tamparuli’ was inspired by one of its customers who described the long line of its customers as a bridge”. He then decided to take the name of the famous ‘Tamparuli Bridge’ which is the focus of tourists in Ustaz Mohd Ali Jainneh’s place of origin that is Sabah.

According to Ustaz Mohd Ali Jainneh, despite having to face various obstacles in the business world but it became a precious memory for him.

In addition, he added that the business which has branches in Taman Desa Imu and Metrocity Matang Night Market provides a variety of side dishes including eggs, petai anchovy sauce, crispy fried chicken, and several other menus compared to before. These are the prices for all the nasi lemak dishes provided there. They are all so delicious.

  • Sambal Sotong: RM5
  • Sambal Paru: RM5
  • Sambal Bilis: Petai RM5
  • Telur Mata: RM3
  • Biasa: RM2

Ustaz Mohd Ali Jainneh also said, “I do business not just to make a profit, but to help each other. I realize not everyone can afford to eat at a restaurant, so we need to take on the role of helping the community to be frugal”.

He also advised all sellers to always persevere to face all the challenges throughout doing business. “For the future of ‘Nasi Lemak Jambatan Tamparuli’, I hope we can produce capable staff and become successful people one day”, he added.
