Once Called World’s Fattest Boy 5 Years Ago, Arya Now Shows His New Transformation

A teenager who was once called the fattest child in the world five years ago shows the latest transformation through his shrinking size and weight.

The change experienced by Arya Permana, who is 14 years old, is noticeable when his body weight, which used to reach 192 kilograms (kg), is now down to 83 kilograms (kg).

In addition to intestinal bypass surgery, the weight loss experienced by Arya who hails from Cipurwasari village in West Java is due to diet and exercise practices.

Among his current routines are walking 3km every day, playing basketball and other sports as well as climbing trees.

“I can play sports… I play basketball with friends. I can also ride a motorcycle,” said Arya.

In fact, Arya has also had the opportunity to ride a motorcycle for the first time. More excitingly, Arya was able to go to a school that was previously closed due to the Covid-19 threat.

“In 2015, I did not expect all this was possible or I could lose weight. Now it feels better, so different,” continued Arya.

If before he only drank colas and ate instant noodles, now Arya has changed his eating habits by eating three times a day and each meal contains rice, tempeh, tofu, and fried chicken.

“In the past, from 2015 to 2016 I slept at 4 am and would wake up at 3 pm now I sleep at 10 pm.

“I only ate instant noodles and packaged drinks. I very rarely eat white rice. Now the intention is to lose weight by dieting and exercise,” he added.

“Most people go on a forced diet within a week and on the eighth day, they are happy but eat a lot and again gain weight.

“The portion of the meal should be reduced gradually. Reduce it a little every week and not immediately, for example, eat a plate of rice and then reduce it only to 5 tablespoons.

“Don’t make it difficult for a diet, that’s what I did,” said Arya again.
