(Video) Falcon’s Flight, Soon To Be World’s Longest, Tallest, Fastest Roller Coaster

A roller coaster currently under development in the Middle East is ready to break the existing record for speed, altitude, and track length.

Called the ‘Falcon’s Flight’, this roller coaster will be the main attraction of the Six Flags Qiddiya, as it opens in Saudi Arabia outside the capital Riyadh in 2023.

According to a press release issued by Qiddiya Investment Company, which has partnered with US Flags headquartered in the US to develop the park, the coaster will travel a four-kilometer track.

Riders will experience the joy of diving on a vertical cliff to a 160 meter (525 ft) deep valley thanks to the use of magnetic motor acceleration (NGO technology), and ‘reaching an unprecedented speed of 250-km km / h’ which is about 155 miles per hour.

“The Falcon’s Flight will also be the world’s tallest free-standing coaster structure, featuring a parabolic airtime hill allowing a weightlessness airtime experience,” says the release.

It will take up to 20 passengers on a three-minute journey and offers beautiful views of the Six Flags Qiddiya.

In 2019, when plans to build Falcon’s Flight were released, a video rendering was released showing what many roller coaster enthusiasts could expect.

About this park, Six Flags Qiddiya will feature 28 trips and attractions in six themed areas that are The City of Thrills; Discovery Springs; Steam Town; Twilight Gardens; Valley of Fortune; and Grand Exposition.

The Falcon’s Flight is being designed by Intamin. Headquartered in Liechtenstein, it has been creating theme park attractions for over 50 years and is behind many of the world’s most famous rides.

That includes the world’s fastest roller coaster holder, Formula Rossa, at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. The Formula Rossa can travel at speeds of up to 240 kilometers (149 miles) per hour.
