Billie Eilish’s ‘Everything I Wanted’ Won Record of the Year at Grammy Awards

Billie Eilish “Everything I Wanted” won Record of the Year during Sunday’s 63rd annual Grammy Awards. The 20-year-old singer beat out Beyonce’s ‘Black Parade’, Black Pumas’ ‘Color’, Doja Cat’s ‘Say So’, Dua Lipa’s ‘Don’t Start Now’, Post Malone’s ‘Circles’, Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Savage’ and DaBaby’s ‘Rockstar’.

This is her second winning twice in a row.

“You had a year that I think is untoppable. You are a queen. I want to cry thinking of how much I love you. You are so beautiful, you are so talented. You deserve everything in the world,” Eilish told fellow Grammy winner.

She also gives thanks to her brother Finneas who joined her on stage to accept the award. Finneas, who is also a singer and songwriter is known to help Eilish a lot with her singing career as well as writing and composing some of her songs.

The inspiration for ‘Everything I Wanted’ comes from a nightmare Billie Eilish had where she jumped off from The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and nobody helped her. But when she woke up, her brother is by her side comforting her. Finneas also made an appearance in the music video.

Hosted by Trevor Noah, the ceremony was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center and broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+. Billie Eilish also won Song Written for Visual Media for ‘Not Time to Die’; the soundtrack of the latest Bond movie of the same name.
