JPA Invites Malaysian To Apply For ‘Biasiswa Yang Di-Pertuan Agong’ For The Year of 2021

The Public Service Department (JPA) has recently informed that the ‘Biasiswa Yang di-Pertuan Agong (BYDPA)’ application has officially opened on the 15th of March 2021 (Monday), 5.00 pm until the closing date for applications on the 9th of April 2021 (Friday). Eligible individuals can now apply for a particular scholarship. The application can be made by filling in the specific application form online through the portal of http://esilav2.jpa.gov.my.

The Public Service Department (JPA) is inviting all the eligible Malaysian citizens to apply for studies at the Masters and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) levels at local institutions of higher learning or world-leading universities listed by the JPA according to the field of study.

In a Facebook post by JPA, it is stated: “BYDPA offers 12 scholarships, namely six for studies at the master’s level and six for studies at the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) level at local institutions of higher learning or world -leading universities listed by the JPA by field of study”. They also added, “The fields of study under BYDPA sponsorship are Science and Technology, Economics, Islamic Law and Finance”.

The scholarship is eligible to be applied for by Malaysians not over 35 years old on 1 January 2021, and have a government-recognized Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with outstanding academic achievement, a minimum CGPA of 3.75, or first class, or its equivalent. In addition, the applicant must have received an offer of study or started full-time studies in the year of the offer at an institution of higher learning listed by the PSD according to the field of study.
