Khairy Jamaluddin The First Individual In Malaysia To Receive Sinovac Covid-19 Vaccine Injection

National COVID-19 Immunization Program Coordinating Minister Khairy Jamaluddin became the first individual in the country to receive the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine injection today.

Khairy, who is also the Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, received the first dose of the Chinese vaccine at Rembau Hospital at 1.30 pm.

Also receiving the first injection of Sinovac vaccine today were 10 frontline workers in Negeri Sembilan.

Before this, Khairy informed that the country received a total of 100,000 doses of the Sinovac vaccine last Monday and will receive the same amount on March 22.

The National COVID-19 Immunization Program was implemented in three phases starting February 24 with Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin becoming the first individual in the country to receive the vaccine injection. He received a Pfizer-BioNTech type vaccine.
